"Transcript" is a free downloadable software that will enable the user to have the document you are transcribing into the top half of the screen and on the bottom half will be the text editor portion which will allow you to transcribe your record using only one screen.
I am not too sure about everyone else, but I know that I always have my record in one screen and in a separate screen is my word processor and I toggle between the two, along with a language translator page to assist with the language, so really I am on three separate pages attempting to transcribe one record.
I have not yet tried this new software but am anxious to see how well it works.
